The Chinese  word 想(pinyin: Xiǎng) means “to think” and 象  (pinyin: xiàng) means  “elephant.” Together, the two words make up the phrase想象which means “imagination” or if we take it literally, “to think of elephants.” To me, imagination means dreaming of seemingly elephant sized goals - the impossible seeming ones -  and striving to achieve them anyhow. It is the very first step towards “Shoot for the moon and if you don’t make it, you’ll end up among stars.”

The seemingly misspelled version of elephant, “Oliphaunt,” is a tribute to JRR Tolkein and his Lord of the Rings series. Oliphaunts were essentially Middle Earth elephants.
